15 Easy and Delicious Easter Desserts

Ever since I was a kid Easter has always been my favorite day out of all three hundred and sixty five. And even though Easter will be a little different this year, I’m still excited to celebrate on Sunday. It’s just forty eight hours until brunch o’clock peeps and it’s no secret that I love a good brunch. Mostly because it’s a perfect excuse to eat dessert for breakfast. If you are looking for an easy and delicious Easter treat to share with your family at home this year, take a peak at this list of my favorites. I hope you find a little something {or a few somethings} that will make your Easter celebration special.

BLOOD ORANGE CARDAMOM CAKE

A light and citrusy blood orange cardamom bundt drizzled with a tart blood orange glaze. As pretty as it is delicious, this is the perfect cake for your Easter celebration. Make it for dessert. Make it for brunch. Just make it. Cuz who doesn’t love a pink cake?

JUMBO EVERYTHING COOKIES

big-fat-everything-cookies

A thick and chewy jumbo everything cookie chock full of all kinds of goodies from your pantry and studded with pretty pastel Easter candies. It’s everything you {and your kids!} want in a cookie and then some.

MEYER LEMON POPPYSEED CAKE

A sweet and tender Meyer lemon poppy seed cake with a light, fluffy texture that will keep both kids and adults coming back for another slice. Topped with a simple glaze, this quick bread is a delicious addition to your Easter brunch buffet. The best part is you can make it the day before. Just add the glaze on Easter morning. Easy peasy!

BROWN SUGAR BUNDT CAKE

This brown sugar bundt cake isn’t likely to last long at Easter brunch, but if you happen to have any left, a slice or two of this bundt makes the perfect parting gift for your guests as they head out the door. Just remind them to save it for Monday morning because cake for breakfast is totally a thing.

LEMON POPPY SEED DONUTS

These light and tender lemon poppy seed donuts have the most refreshing citrus flavor that just screams spring. Topped with a sweet vanilla glaze, these baked donuts make a quick and delicious breakfast treat ready in just 20 minutes. Double the batch because these will disappear fast!

GLAZED OLD FASHIONED DONUT BUNDT CAKE

Speaking of donuts….how about a giant glazed old fashioned donut cake baked golden brown in a bundt pan? Ummm…HELLO! Perfectly moist and tender and topped with a sweet vanilla drizzle, this cake tastes exactly like a classic old fashioned donut, but in cake form! Now what’s not to love about that? Serve this cake warm on Easter morning and there won’t be a crumb left over. Promise.

FRENCH MACARONS

These delicate almond cookies with soft and chewy centers and filled with a swirl of sweet buttercream are the prettiest edible goodies ever. They may be the ultimate fancy-pants sandwich cookie and if you’ve been following along for a bit, you know I’m all about a sandwich cookie. And while the words “easy” and “macaron” aren’t often used in the same sentence, take it from me that there is no need to be afraid of this classic little confection. I still consider myself a beginner when it comes to making macarons, but if I can do it, anyone can! I’ve got all the best tips and tricks for the perfect macs in my Beginner’s Guide to French Macarons.

CLASSIC VANILLA POUND CAKE

Oh, how do I love a loaf cake? Let me count the ways. This classic vanilla pound cake is rich and buttery and always a crowd pleaser. Dress it up with a handful of berries and a dusting of powdered sugar or a simple vanilla glaze for a simply perfect, no fuss dessert.

Carrot Cake Cupcakes with Brown Butter Cream Cheese Frosting

I dare say these carrot cake cupcakes are the best thing to ever happen to Sunday brunch. Topped with a mile high swirl of brown butter cream cheese frosting these beauts make the most delightful Easter treat. Absolutely scrumptious!

MINI KEY LIME CHEESECAKES

I just love a mini dessert. And I love key lime anything. Oh, and cheesecake {duh}. So I took a few of my favorite things and created these mini key lime cheesecakes that are the most delicious combination of sweet and tart. They are perfectly zesty in all the right places and because they are mini they have that extra cuteness factor that no one can deny!

GLAZED TANGERINE CAKE

Glazed-Tangerine-Cake

A light and fluffy glazed tangerine cake perfect for any springtime celebration. Flavored with both fresh tangerine juice and zest this quick bread packs the perfect citrus punch. Don’t have tangerines? No problem. Swap out oranges and add a pinch of extra sugar to keep it sweet. Definitely file this delectable cake under things to eat for breakfast and dessert!

LEMON SHEET CAKE WITH VANILLA FROSTING

A light and fluffy one layer cake with a hint of lemon flavor and swirls of soft vanilla frosting. This is a simple and delicious springtime cake you’ll make again and again even after Easter has passed.

GLUTEN FREE BANANA CUPCAKES WITH CREAM CHEESE FROSTING

If these little cupcakes don’t scream spring loud and clear, I’m not sure what does. Topped with fresh berries and a tiny blossom straight from the garden, decorating this dessert could not be easier! I mean if we aren’t topping our cupcakes with fruit and flowers, is it even spring? These soft and fluffy banana cupcakes with cream cheese frosting and fresh blackberry curd are a must make Easter treat. Plus they are gluten free, but you’ll never guess!

OLD FASHIONED DONUTS WITH BLOOD ORANGE GLAZE

Oh, look at that. Another donut recipe. Sundays are just made for donuts and Easter is no exception. These pretty as can be, citrus glazed donuts are made without yeast and require no special equipment to make. Just make the dough, chill, and fry the donuts up in your very own kitchen. You don’t even have to change out of your pj’s. If that’s not a selling point, I don’t know what is!

Easy Coconut Loaf Cake

This heavenly frosted coconut cake is my favorite make-ahead cake for Easter Sunday. For an even richer coconut flavor, toast the coconut before sprinkling on top. Pretty AND delicious, this cake will be the first to disappear from your brunch buffet.

Have a happy Easter bakers!
