Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 3/4 cups light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs, room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 cup chopped milk chocolate
  • 1 cup chopped macadamia nuts
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • Ice cream for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Lightly grease bottom and sides of a 10 inch cast iron skillet
  3. In the bowl of a stand mixer, mix butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar on medium high speed until well combined, about one minute
  4. Add eggs, one at a time until incorporated
  5. Add vanilla
  6. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. Whisk to mix.
  7. With mixer on low speed, slowly add flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix until a few streaks of flour still remain. Do not over mix
  8. Remove bowl from mixer and add nuts and chocolate. Stir to combine
  9. Spoon dough into the prepared skillet, using hands or a spatula to gently press dough down evenly in skillet
  10. Bake for 20 minutes or until top is golden brown and center is just barely set
  11. Remove from oven and allow to cool 10 minutes before serving
  12. Top with ice cream and more chopped chocolate if desired
